Thrill of the Hunter is a 30-minute fast-paced hunting reality show that strips away all the boring minutiae found in most hunting shows today and replaces it with high-energy informative entertainment. Larger-than-life host, Mike Thomas, takes the viewers on an informative and entertaining hunting or fishing journey.

Show Description / Treatment

Hunting isn’t just a sport, it’s a game of respect between the hunter and their prey – but it’s still a game, and we have fun doing it!

Each episode will take the viewer on a new hunt, hunting new prey, with our larger-than-life host, Mike Thomas.

Mike is an energetic and charismatic force of nature, guiding the audience along each hunting and fishing adventure. Mike will detail the gun, ammo, and gear of each hunt, as well as share hunting strategies, dismiss myths, and talk through tips.

Each episode will have Mike hunting with a new hunting partner whose personality perfectly plays off Mike’s fun and wild persona.

Mike will discuss the reason for the hunt (over population, nuisance control, in-season practices etc.) and detail how nothing will go to waste and how all excess meat will be donated to local food shelters and charities.

Each episode will end with a quick glimpse of a recipe to cook the game that was caught, with a link to the full cooking portion listed on-screen.

This show has a huge potential for growth and ability to break the mold of what conventional reality hunting shows look like.

This isn’t like other hunting shows. This – is Thrill of the Hunter
